The 3-point, mounted toolbar is commonly used for increased maneuverability. Operators can make tighter turns and load the tractor/planter combination on flatbed trailers without the need to disconnect. Mounted planters also minimize soil compaction when compared to drawn planter toolbars. Tractor must have adequate 3-point lift capacity of safely picking up the weight of the planter.
